【摘要】:ThisPartofBS1363specifiesrequirements,withparticularreferencetosafetyinnormaluse,for13A,fused,conversionplugsforhousehold,commercialandlightindustrialpurposes.Thescopeofthestandardcoverstwo-poleplusearthconversionplugsthatareeitherreusableornon-reusableandthataresuitablefortheconnectionofnon-BS1363typeplugs,conformingtoarecognizedstandard,tosocket-outletsconformingtoBS1363-2.Thescopeofthisstandardislimitedtodeviceswiththefollowingcharacteristics:?thathaveinsulatingsleevesonlineandneutralpins;?thathaveoneplugportionandonesetofcontactsintendedtoconnecttoanon-BS1363typeplugthatconformstothedimensionalrequirementsofastandardlistedinIECTR60083;?thataresuitablefortheconnectionofelectricalequipmentina.c.circuitsonly,operatingatvoltagesnotexceeding250Vr.m.s.at50Hz;?thatmayhavetheun-terminatedmetalearthpinreplacedwithasimilarlydimensionedinsulatedshutteropeningdevice(ISOD)designedtooperatetheshuttermechanismofasocket-outletconformingtoBS1363-2.NOTEAmetalearthpincanbebrass,copper,phosphor-bronzeorothermetalatleastequivalentwithregardtoitsconductivity,resistancetoabrasion,andresistancetocorrosion.Twocategoriesofconversionplugsarespecified,coveringnormalandroughuse.Conversionplugsspecifiedinthisstandardareintendedfortheconnectionofloadstosocketoutlets;theyarenotintendedfortheconnectionofelectricalpowergeneratorstosocketoutlets.Conversionplugsincorporatingswitches,transformers,thermostats,orothercontrolmeansareoutsidethescopeofthisPartofBS1363.Thisstandardalsodoesnotcover:?non-BS1363typeconversionplugs,i.e.withacontactsettofit13Aplugs,andamaleplugportionsuitableforanon-BS1363typesocketoutlet;or?adaptors(astowhich,seeBS1363-3).
